HELICOPTER SAFETY TRAINING
Air Operations Training Center
The sad reality is that utility and telecommunication employees traveling by helicopters are dramatically more likely to be critically injured or killed over those traveling by traditional means of transportation. Safety One has developed a thrilling one-day program designed to increase our student's chance of surviving a helicopter emergency by more that 250% because we incorporate critical training elements that can mean the difference between life and death. Additionally, our students are trained in five critical areas that will make their helicopter travel safer, quicker and more efficient:
- Five rules to survive a helicopter crash
- Proper loading and unloading technique
- Cargo management inside the cabin
- Personal safety equipment that works
- Working with external cargo loads safely
This eight-hour course combines an exciting blend of classroom instruction and simulation training from a qualified helicopter safety instructor. The student will participate in loading and unloading, as well as fly a training mission in a helicopter. They will be instructed on guiding a helicopter to pick up and deliver an external load safely and efficiently. This training will teach your employees to work safely around helicopters and complies with federal guidelines for required safety training.
