TRAIN-THE-TRAINER
Did you know that OSHA mandates that all employers MUST provide ongoing climbing & rescue training to their employees?
Rather than the expensive alternative of certifying all of your climbers, why not certify one competent employee as an instructor, and then incorporate our training into your company's safety program? With each candidate's successful completion of this comprehensive curriculum, they will have the necessary training to keep your company compliant. We can do this in less time than our competitors, and our training costs less!
Our Train-the-Trainer Program consists of a three day course which includes comprehensive classroom instruction, hands-on field training, as well as the opportunity for each student to prepare a mini-course for critique by our instructors. Upon successful completion, each student will receive certification that they have mastered the material covered in our program, which has been designed to encompass OSHA's training requirements. The students will also be prepared to integrate our recommended training into their company's safety program so that other qualified climbers can be certified. To keep each "trainer" current with the changing OSHA requirements and certification, each student must attend our one-day Instructor Review Course 18 – 24 months following certification.
The classroom portion of this three-day class includes fundamentals of instructing, instruction methodology, developing lesson plans, evaluation methods, accident prevention, and instructor responsibilities. Our field training includes advanced safety and rescue techniques pertaining to customer specific towers, teaching safety and rescue procedures and setting up field training locations.
Since Safety One International emphasizes safety is priority one – we have incorporated CPR training into this program! Upon successful completion of this class, each student will be CPR certified and can also recertify every two years with the completion of the Instructor Review Course which will keep our students apprised of OSHA's changing certification requirements.
As a prerequisite of this class, students must provide a letter from their employers stating that they are competent tower climbers with three year's experience. In lieu of the three years, 18 months experience with previous certification in our Antenna & Tower Climbing and Rescue Class will be considered.
While the objective of this course is to transform your company's competent climber into an instructor – which will ultimately save you money and keep your company OSHA compliant – it is strongly recommended that your new or uncertified climbers attend our Antenna & Tower Climbing and Rescue Class for their initial certification.
